Every visiting production that brings a large crew asks the same question: does Alaska actually have enough qualified local crew and infrastructure to support a shoot at this scale? The answer is yes. We regularly support productions in the 30-50 person range for commercial, fashion, and brand campaigns with full department staffing sourced in-state.
Camera
Local DPs, camera operators, first ACs, second ACs, DITs, and Steadicam operators with credits on major network and commercial productions. Your visiting DP leads the department. We staff the support.
Grip & Electric
Key grips, best boys, grips, gaffers, and electricians. Full grip and electric packages including a 2-ton grip truck, Arri and Aputure LED packages, HMI, and complete grip support are sourced locally. No need to ship a G&E truck from LA.
Art Department
Art department assistants, set dressers, props coordinators, and construction support available locally. Your visiting production designer or art director leads. We source materials, fabrication, and labor in-state.
Hair, Makeup & Wardrobe
Local hair and makeup artists and wardrobe assistants experienced in commercial and fashion production. Your visiting key stylists lead. We staff the assistants and handle steaming, transport, and on-set wardrobe management.
Production
Production managers, production coordinators, production assistants, location managers, and drivers. These positions are filled entirely from our local network. Experienced, reliable, and accustomed to the pace of large commercial shoots.
Specialty Positions
Wilderness safety coordinators, bear guards, marine safety officers, glacier safety technicians, drone operators, helicopter coordinators, and aerial cinematographers. These Alaska-specific positions are critical for large productions operating in remote or extreme environments and are only available through local networks.
Your Department Heads Fly In
Director, DP, photographer, art director, lead stylist, agency creatives. They land at Anchorage and we handle everything from there.
We Staff Everything Below the Line
Every support position across every department is filled locally. We provide crew resumes, rate confirmations, and availability checks during pre-production. No surprises on day one.
Ground Transportation
Passenger vans, crew buses, grip trucks, wardrobe vehicles, and talent vehicles coordinated and staged for multi-location shoot days. In Alaska, location moves can cover significant distance. We plan transport routes and timing to keep your production on schedule.
Lodging
Hotel blocks in Anchorage for large crews are straightforward. For shoots outside the city, we book lodges, hotels, and cabins with enough capacity for 40-50 people, and coordinate overflow properties as needed. During peak summer season, we book early.
Catering and Craft Services
Full catering for large crews including hot meals, craft services throughout the day, and dietary accommodations. For remote locations, we stage catering as part of basecamp operations.
Basecamp for Remote Locations
When your 40-person crew is shooting on a glacier, a frozen lake, or a mountain location without nearby facilities, we build a full basecamp on site. Heated tents for video village, wardrobe, hair and makeup, craft services, and crew rest. Generator power, restrooms, and production office. Everything your crew needs to operate at full capacity in a location with zero existing infrastructure.
One tech scout day with department heads and our location team. Two to four shoot days across multiple locations. Multi-location schedules that maximize visual variety within your window: glacier day, cabin day, mountain day, town day. We build the schedule, manage the moves, and run the ground operation.
We operate as your service producer and deliver bids in AICP format for agency productions. Full itemized budgets with every position, every vehicle, every location, and every logistics line item broken out. Send us your creative brief and we will build the plan.
