Anchorage is the operational hub for film and commercial production in Alaska. The majority of the state's professional crew base lives here. Gear sources are based here. The Ted Stevens International Airport is the arrival point for virtually every visiting production team. If you are shooting anywhere in Alaska, your production is running through Anchorage.
We provide full production services in Anchorage and use the city as a staging base for productions operating across the state. Crew, equipment, permitting, lodging, ground transportation, and complete logistical management.
Crew Base
The largest concentration of experienced production professionals in Alaska lives in Anchorage. Camera operators, gaffers, key grips, sound mixers, production managers, hair and makeup artists, and production assistants. When you need to staff a full department for a commercial shoot, Anchorage is where the crew comes from.
Equipment Access
Local grip and electric packages, cinema camera systems, audio kits, and drone platforms are sourced from the Anchorage market. For specialty items not available locally, Anchorage is the freight hub for shipments from Seattle and LA.
Airport Gateway
Ted Stevens International Airport has direct flights from Seattle, LA, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, and other major hubs. Your visiting crew and shipped equipment arrive here. We coordinate airport pickups, gear receiving, and ground transportation to set locations across the state.
Lodging and Infrastructure
Full hotel inventory from major chains to boutique properties. Rental vehicle availability. Catering and craft services. Production office space. Anchorage has the urban infrastructure that smaller Alaska communities cannot provide.
Downtown and Midtown
Urban Alaska. Glass and steel against mountain backdrops. Convention centers, restaurants, retail districts, and corporate environments for commercial and corporate video content.
Chugach State Park
Half a million acres of mountain wilderness beginning at the city's eastern edge. Alpine trails, glacier valleys, and dramatic ridgelines accessible within a 30-minute drive from downtown hotels. One of the most accessible wilderness-to-urban transitions in the world.
Turnagain Arm
The scenic highway corridor south of Anchorage along the Seward Highway. Tidal flats, bore tides, Dall sheep on cliffs above the road, and dramatic mountain-meets-ocean landscapes. One of the most photographed drives in Alaska.
Portage Glacier and Whittier
Glacial environments and Prince William Sound access within an hour of Anchorage. Portage Lake, the Begich Boggs Visitor Center, and the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel leading to the port town of Whittier and marine access to tidewater glaciers.
Knik Glacier and the Mat-Su Valley
Massive glacier system accessible by helicopter, airboat, or winter snowmachine from the Anchorage area. The Mat-Su Valley north of Anchorage provides farmland, mountain backdrops, and small-town Alaska environments.
Commercial campaigns for global brands. Cruise line and tourism content. Documentary and unscripted television. Corporate video and internal communications. Brand video production. We use Anchorage as the staging base for productions that then deploy to Juneau, Southeast Alaska, Denali, the Kenai Peninsula, and remote locations statewide.
