Alaska Production Company was founded by Collin and Kendal Strachan after they pulled an Airstream north and never went home.

What started as an adventure became a decade of producing commercial campaigns across the state, learning the terrain, the weather, and the network of pilots, operators, lodges, and crews that make ambitious production possible in one of the most demanding environments on earth.

That decade revealed a gap....

Large productions kept landing in Alaska without a real partner on the ground, and the state kept losing work to places with better infrastructure. No single company understood both the realities of agency-scale production and the realities of operating in Alaska's extreme environments.

Alaska Production Company was built to close that gap.

We service full-scale commercial productions, brand films, and broadcast campaigns for visiting agencies, networks, and brands shooting anywhere in the state. From Juneau and Southeast Alaska to the North Slope, we deliver crew, cameras, aerials, permits, lodging, transport, and on-the-ground execution under one roof. Visiting teams arrive to a production that's already been thought through, by people who live here and have spent years building the relationships that make the impossible routine.
