Denali is 20,310 feet. It is the tallest peak in North America and one of the most visually dominant mountains on earth, rising more than 18,000 feet from its base elevation. On clear days it is visible from over 100 miles away. Denali National Park and Preserve covers six million acres of wilderness containing grizzly bears, wolves, caribou, Dall sheep, and moose in one of the most intact subarctic ecosystems remaining on the planet.
We provide full production services for crews shooting in and around Denali National Park, Talkeetna, and the surrounding Alaska Range corridor.
The Peak Itself
Denali is shrouded in clouds roughly two-thirds of the time. When it reveals itself, the visual impact is staggering. Productions targeting the mountain need flexible scheduling and patience. We monitor weather patterns and advise on optimal timing for mountain visibility. Aerial cinematography of Denali from helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft is among the most dramatic footage available anywhere in the world.
Denali National Park
A single 92-mile road penetrates the park. Private vehicles are restricted beyond mile 15. Access to the interior requires the park bus system or special permits for commercial filming operations. We manage all National Park Service commercial filming permits and coordinate logistics within the park. Grizzly bears, wolves, caribou herds, and Dall sheep are regularly visible from the park road.
Talkeetna
The small mountain town at the base of the Alaska Range. Historic downtown, bush pilot culture, flightseeing operations, and a quirky frontier character that has made it a favorite filming location for travel and lifestyle content. Talkeetna is also the staging point for mountaineering expeditions to Denali's summit.
Flightseeing and Glacier Landings
Talkeetna-based air services offer flightseeing tours and glacier landings on the Ruth Glacier, the Sheldon Amphitheater, and other glacier locations on Denali's flanks. These flights provide extraordinary production access to alpine and glacier environments with minimal ground logistics.
Wildlife
Denali National Park is one of the best wildlife filming locations in Alaska for large terrestrial mammals. Grizzly bears, wolves, caribou, moose, and Dall sheep in wide-open tundra landscapes with mountain backdrops.
Denali Park Road
92 miles of gravel road through taiga and tundra with mountain panoramas. Key viewpoints include Polychrome Pass, Stony Hill Overlook, Eielson Visitor Center, and Wonder Lake.
Wonder Lake
When skies are clear, Wonder Lake provides the iconic reflection shot of Denali. 85 miles into the park and accessible only by park bus or permitted vehicle.
Talkeetna
Downtown Talkeetna, the Talkeetna River, bush plane operations at the state airport, and views of the Alaska Range from town.
Ruth Glacier and the Great Gorge
Accessible by ski-plane landing from Talkeetna. The Ruth Gorge is the deepest gorge in North America, with vertical granite walls rising thousands of feet above the glacier surface. Extraordinary for mountaineering and adventure content.
We manage all logistics for Denali productions including National Park Service commercial filming permits, park road access coordination, crew staging from Anchorage or Fairbanks, lodging at park-area properties, ground transportation, and air charter coordination from Talkeetna. For winter shoots, the park road is closed beyond mile 3, making backcountry access a dog sled, ski, or snowmachine operation requiring full basecamp support. Full service producer capabilities available.

No more sitting on the sidelines. Stand out with compelling, story-driven visuals from the Last Frontier.
