Seward is a small port town on Resurrection Bay, two and a half hours south of Anchorage by road. It is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park, one of the most visually stunning coastal environments in Alaska. Tidewater glaciers calving into the ocean, humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, puffins, and dramatic fjord landscapes are all accessible by boat from Seward's harbor.
We provide full production services in Seward and coordinate marine and land-based production access throughout the Kenai Fjords region.
Kenai Fjords National Park
Tidewater glaciers flowing directly into the Gulf of Alaska. Narrow fjords with towering rock walls. Marine wildlife in extraordinary density. The Harding Icefield, one of the largest icefields in the US, feeds dozens of glaciers that terminate at or near sea level. Commercial filming in the National Park requires permits through the National Park Service, which we manage as part of our permitting services.
Exit Glacier
The most accessible glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. Visitors can walk to the glacier face from a paved trail. The retreat markers showing decades of glacial recession are a powerful visual for climate and documentary content. Accessible by road from Seward.
Marine Wildlife
Resurrection Bay and the outer coast of Kenai Fjords are rich with humpback whales, orcas, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, puffins, and thousands of seabirds nesting on coastal cliffs. This is one of the premier marine wildlife cinematography locations in Alaska.
Expedition Cruise Port
Seward is a turnaround port for smaller expedition cruise lines operating in Alaska. Cruise line and tourism productions staging from Seward access a different market and visual environment than the larger ship ports in Juneau and Ketchikan.
Seward Small Boat Harbor
Working harbor with fishing boats, charter vessels, and cruise tenders against a mountain and glacier backdrop. Compact and cinematic.
Resurrection Bay
Protected deep-water bay with mountain walls rising directly from the water. Calm water for marine-based production with dramatic vertical scenery.
Kenai Fjords Coastline
Full-day and multi-day boat charters access the outer coast of the park, including Aialik Bay, Northwestern Fjord, and the Chiswell Islands seabird rookery.
Exit Glacier Road and Harding Icefield Trail
Road and trail access to the glacier face and, for fit crews, the Harding Icefield overlook above the glacier system.
Seward is a small town with limited crew and infrastructure. We stage crew from Anchorage (2.5-hour drive), coordinate marine vessel charters for park access, manage National Park Service and US Forest Service permits, arrange lodging, and provide all ground logistics. For aerial work, we coordinate helicopter operations from Seward or the nearby Kenai Peninsula. Full service producer support available.

No more sitting on the sidelines. Stand out with compelling, story-driven visuals from the Last Frontier.
